Jane is a violin performance master graduate from the Longy School of Music of Bard College, who was awarded a merit scholarship and studied under Jesse Mills. Prior to that, she received a bachelor's degree in violin performance from the China Conservatory of Music, studying under Shengming Liang and Mathias Boegner. Her early music education began at the Beijing Opera and Arts College Middle and High School, studying under Yongmei Shi and Zhongguo Sheng.

 

Jane has a wealth of orchestral experience, having performed with high school and university orchestras, including the China Youth Philharmonic, in major concert halls in Beijing, and collaborated with several famous conductors. These notable venues include the Beijing Concert Hall, Forbidden City Concert Hall, and National Centre for the Performing Arts of China. In 2022, she also performed with the Boston Horizon Ensemble at the Church of the Covenant. Jane has had many solo experiences, including school activities, studio and off-campus business activities or festivals, such as the 2019 Dragonfly International Festival.
 

As a teacher, Jane pays attention to laying a solid foundation and cultivating basic skills, and her rich orchestra experience has helped many students successfully join the school orchestra. Jane once taught violin courses in Beijing National School, which allowed her to accumulate a lot of teaching experience for primary and middle school students, and she also has rich experience in teaching orchestra courses. Through her guidance, many students have joined orchestras of different levels.
 

Jane is fluent in English and Mandarin and can provide limited Cantonese teaching.
