Wendy Qu started learning piano at the age of 4 under the guidance of Professor Li Yong, a postgraduate tutor at Shenyang Conservatory of Music. At 16, she was admitted to the High School Attached to Shenyang Conservatory of Music for professional piano education, and at 19, she ranked second in her major and was accepted to Shenyang Conservatory of Music. There, she continued her studies under Russian professor Luna and also pursued music education courses to obtain a master's degree.

During her undergraduate years, Wendy gained teaching experience as a piano tutor and teaching assistant and has taught elementary piano education for children over 4 years old. She contributed to the compilation of "The Road to Understanding," a theoretical book for piano tutors. Additionally, she has ample accompaniment experience, having served as a musical and instrumental accompanist on several occasions.

While pursuing her master's degree, Wendy conducted extensive research and investigation on the piano learning situation of young children in primary schools. She visited many schools and finally completed her master's thesis.
